A new build development to accommodate a GP practice together with clinic space for the other medical users and a pharmacy.

Whiteley has seen considerable commercial and residential development in recent years and a temporary surgery building constructed to provide healthcare services whilst the overall development was formed. However no site within the overall main development had been allocated for a permanent new surgery.

Affordable sites were difficult to find and PMP approached Fareham Council as to the possible redevelopment of the temporary surgery site. Terms were agreed including the re-routing of a public bridleway and the new surgery was constructed after planning was granted.

The practice wished extra space over and above GMS and this was accommodated on the first floor over the pharmacy.

Build period – 8 months
Total area – 965 sq.m over two floors
